Putin says govt is working on ways to legalise Russian offshore capital

MOSCOW Dec 18 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday his government was working on mechanisms that would legalise offshore capital returning to Russia.

"It's necessary to legalise not only offshore properties but properties where the rights are assigned to relatives (of the business owners)," Putin said at his annual press conference. (Reporting by Moscow bureau; Writing by Lidia Kelly, editing by Elizabeth Piper)
